L. Brief summary:The
Scrambled States of America is a creative story of how the states decided to
stay in the correct place. Kansas was a sad state, he only knew his neighbors
and he wanted to meet more friends. So Kansas decided to throw a party! All of
the states attended, everyone had an amazing time getting to know the rest of
the states. Idaho got up and asked if all the states could experience a
different part of the country. Everyone hurried and found their new place in
the country. But the excitement was short lived, and all the states hurried
home. Everyone loved the new friends but loved being home even more.
M. Description
of how you would use the book with students: This is one of the cutest books I
have read. Not only was it a fun way to introduce states to students, on the
last 3 pages it gives the states, what they look like, their size and
population! It also gives the important landmarks of states, like the Gateway
Arch or the Space Needles! I would use this book when introducing states for
sure! It is such a fun book to read and the pictures are absolutely adorable!
